Arnold Clark BMW Mini Showroom – Hillington, Glasgow.
G&O were employed by the main contractor (BDB Design Build). We were tasked with the supply and installation of the Security fencing, gates and street furniture packages. This was undertaken at the new prestigious showroom, in Hillington. It is situated next door to Arnold Clark’s head office. At its time of opening, it was the biggest BMW retail showroom in Scotland.
Established in 1954, Arnold Clark Automobiles is Europe’s largest privately owned car retailer, generating an annual turnover of over £3 billion.
Our work was undertaken over a period of 3 months. We first started on site in November 2022 and finally completed all works in early January 2023. All supply and installation were completed to the client’s specifications.
The products installed consisted of the following:
- 590 metres of 2m high profiled weld mesh
- 210 metres of 1.2m high profiled weld mesh
- 1 No. 7 metre wide automated cantilever sliding gate with access control
- 2 No. 5 metre wide manual cantilever sliding gates.
- 7m wide automated rising arm barrier with access control
- 3 No. pedestrian access swing gates
- 2 No. timber refuse stores
- 40 No. stainless steel bollards
- 40 No. lamp post protection columns
- 55 No. stainless steel security hoops
- 2 No. cycle shelters with cycle racks
We were able to deliver on time and within budget and all works were completed to the highest standard.
